During the past few weeks students at Hampstead high school have been reviewing and debating Donald Trump’s position as president in the US. Hampstead School has a debating society like no other where teachers take part and engage with students to help educate the students through their debating skills.

Over the past month the debating society of Hampstead School has been debating Donald Trump and his policies, most of the debating club dislikes Trump because of the kind of remarks he makes and also the fact that he is a business entrepreneur that is worth around 2.5 billion US dollars. People think he should not be president because he runs the country like he runs a ‘business’.

A student of Hampstead School debating club agreed to talk, Dimitrios in year 9 said “Donald trump is not a president he is a ‘well known’ business man that just thinks he knows how to run the government and all he knows to do is run a business” he also said that Trump doesn’t deserve to be in the office and that he is a ‘fake leader’ and just wants the power to help boost his business and personal economy overall”. Some even say that they would vote him out of the office in the 2020 presidential election.

However, some people argue that he is doing well with the economy and handling the situations and problems in an appropriate manner and many people respect him for that.

Do you think Trump should be president? Do you like any of Trump’s ideas and why? Would you vote for Trump or not? Do you think he will make “America great again” or destroy the country?
