The first story is a literacy charity that was founded in 2007; it intends to promote the love of writing and confidence through creativity in secondary schools and the communities around them. It gives renowned writers and poets alike an opportunity to do something a little bit different than what they usually do. This also allows students interested in writing to take point and ask good questions. It will grant students the opportunity to ask professional writers, such as Dean Atta the poet of some big hit poems, for advice and can impact their future careers and lives. It gives students the opportunity to publish their own works to the public. This book will be officially published on the 28th June 2018. By September this year the charity wants to have brought this idea to at least 20 different British schools.
Hampstead School is one of the many schools they plan to bring their project to. This would mark the school’s first year of hosting this project on the 28th of June. If this is successful enough they plan to do this again next year, alongside other schools. There is no limit on the amount of writing that these students can do; it could be a few lines to 4 pages. This would create a good environment that promotes confidence and positivity for anyone wanting to do any writing. This would create an overall big success for schools, students and the charities alike. This is a great opportunity for writers, both young and old, to get involved and empower the lives of young people in ways that they never expected.
It has the potential to create new opportunities and viewpoints in the lives of various different people and can change the way they think and view the world.
