Hampstead School has recently spent millions of pounds on building a new games area. This new area is used at break and lunch, so students are being encouraged not to drop litter.

At a special assembly the head teacher told all of the students in school about the new play area, how much it cost, and how we need to keep it clean. Mr Szemalikowski said, “It is vitally important that this is a safe and clean environment to learn and play in. It is our responsibility as a community to help look after the school and the playground.”

The benefits that Hampstead school will get from keeping the playground clean is that there will not be any pigeons or other animals in the school. A lot of children have thought of having more bins in the playground, and so far this seems to be working.

The response from students has been positive, and so far the new play area is clean and tidy.
